Language is important. The words we use carry meaning.
I believe we need to stop using the term CCI as it is damaging our industry. In this session I will explain why.
Spatial streams? Antenna diversity? MIMO gain? Do we actually know what we mean when we use these terms?
I thought I did-until I tried to define exactly what “MIMO Gain” was. What I found is a sloppy catch-all term for several very different technologies, each working in a different way, affecting a different part of the connection, and delivering a different benefit.
That makes saying “we’re designing for MIMO Gain” almost meaningless. So, in this session, we’ll take a look under the “MIMO Gain” umbrella, separate out the technologies hiding beneath it, and hopefully leave with a more precise way to talk about and design for the benefits of MIMO.
