SPEAKERS

  • Network engineers see a lot of heatmaps, graphs, spectrum stuff. Many even know how to interpret them. But what metrics truly go to construct them, and what truly matters for great user experience?

  • We as the herd always discuss Wi-Fi & now we have a chance to discuss another wireless technology & why certain things matter, how do some things work why are we not seeing the Speed's that 5G always seemed to promisecription text goes here

  • Building a wireless network design, site survey, and live monitoring tool requires an always-on, realistic lab environment for every major vendor on the market. Basically, you need a real wireless network with multiple APs to test API integrations against, test that AP radios and virtual SSIDs group together properly during surveys, test various WLAN configurations, and for demonstration purposes. For integration work, you need real, associated clients that generate real traffic! And of course, don’t forget the switches. Finally, the entire network has to be duplicated for each major vendor, resulting in something like 7 x 7 access points (and growing), all in the Hamina office.

Accomplishing this means Linux system administration, 3D printing, magnets, programming microcontrollers, and even custom printed circuit boards! In this presentation, we’ll discuss all of the challenges (and fun) of building a realistic, multi-vendor wireless networking lab.

  • Cisco Workflows is an easy to use, cloud based network automation tool, fully integrated into the Meraki dashboard. It can automate provisioning, reporting and response tasks in Cisco solutions, including the Cisco Meraki and Catalyst Center platforms, as well as integrate them with external and third party systems.

This session examines the tool and offers examples of potential use cases, from simple automation tasks to using it as part of an enterprise CI/CD pipeline. It also includes a live demo of the tool.

  • Indoor cellular connectivity is becoming increasingly important in environments such as airports, hotels, offices, and private 5G deployments. However, the tools and workflows for measuring and understanding indoor cellular performance are still far less mature than those used in Wi-Fi site surveys. In this talk, we will look at how indoor cellular surveys are typically performed today, from smartphone-based measurement apps to specialized hardware platforms and large-scale measurement campaigns. Using real measurement data (RSRP, RSRQ, SINR) from office environments, the session will explore what these measurements reveal about cellular performance indoors and discuss practical approaches for evaluating and designing indoor cellular coverage.

  • Moving services into the cloud is becoming increasingly relevant for the strategy of most companies. What are the implications when we do this with network authentication?

  • Designing for Great Capacity, Great Roaming, and Great performance has always been a game of compromise. Now it doesn’t have to be!

  • Think you know what’s going on with your Wi-Fi? Think again. The 7SIGNAL agent is packed with powerful features that give you deep visibility into the client experience — from connection health to roaming behavior and everything in between. In this session, we’ll pop the hood and show off all the cool things the agent can do to help you troubleshoot faster, design smarter, and sleep better at night. Warning: after this talk, you may never look at Wi-Fi the same way again.

  • Just because we have always done it that way down’t mean we should still do it that way.
