SPEAKERS

  • Wi-Fi surveys are widely used to guide design, validation, and troubleshooting decisions — but what do they actually represent? In this session, we’ll break down what common Wi-Fi survey methods capture, where assumptions can creep in, and how survey mechanics influence the resulting data. We’ll explore differences between static and mobile measurement approaches, how form factor and operator movement shape survey outcomes, and why certain datasets align better with real-world client behavior than others. The goal isn’t perfection — it’s understanding the strengths and limits of the data we rely on.

  • Come share a journey of discovery… to sometimes wild and crazy places we’ve been asked to design Wi-Fi. From above the Arctic Circle, to Antartica. From mountain tops to thousands of feet underground. Poor shanty towns, to billionaire homes. Wi-Fi holds the entire world together. Knowing how Wi-Fi works, and the fundamentals help in all possible situations.

  • It's no secret that designing Wi-Fi can be challenging in school environments. We'll walk through the unique client devices, applications, and designs for wireless connectivity in schools and how to design and troubleshoot for them.

  • Building the network and infrastructure to support 18k fans in the FedExForum. What works, what doesn’t, and lessons learned along the way.

  • Building your own tools doesn't just solve problems — it deepens your understanding of the technology you work with every day. In this session, I'll walk through my experience developing practical wireless utilities and what I learned along the way. We'll cover how to remotely validate Keith Parsons' Wi-Fi site survey checklist, and how to automate pcap analysis so you spend less time clicking and more time finding answers. Whether you're looking to streamline your workflow or just curious how these tools work under the hood — this talk is for you.

  • Gathering data from Wi-Fi networks may seem like a simple task, but what is different when collecting data from a Wi-Fi HaLow network? I will discuss the considerations when performing such task and I will share how I accomplished a Wi-Fi HaLow survey using the Wavelify application.
