We spend a lot of time discussing faster WiFi, better coverage, and the latest standards — but sometimes the real question is whether WiFi is the right tool for the job in the first place.
In this session, I’ll share lessons learned from more than 20 years working with wireless networks in real-world environments, and discuss scenarios where traditional WiFi starts to struggle: industrial environments, mobility, outdoor deployments, latency-sensitive applications, and high-reliability use cases.
Rather than focusing on vendor features or product pitches, this talk explores the practical challenges of designing wireless networks for predictable performance and reliability. Using technologies such as Ultra-Reliable Wireless Backhaul (URWB) as examples, we’ll look at how the industry is evolving beyond “coverage everywhere” toward wireless systems built for stability, determinism, and operational resilience.
The session is intended for anyone interested in wireless architecture, real-world design tradeoffs, and the future of reliable mobility, regardless of vendor preference.

What happens when we isolate a Sidekick 2 and inject custom signals at it.
In this presentation I will show a lot of live demoes, and we will briefly go over the architecture by following the RF path as a start so we know why the signals I send makes AI Pro and Sidekick behave like it does. I will cover bandpass filters, and front-end overload as well.
The irony is that you have a way more powerful device than you know, the limitations is the software. So what if, we could see more than one band at the same time - with Sidekick 2.
