Wi-Fi surveys are widely used to guide design, validation, and troubleshooting decisions — but what do they actually represent? In this session, we’ll break down what common Wi-Fi survey methods capture, where assumptions can creep in, and how survey mechanics influence the resulting data. We’ll explore differences between static and mobile measurement approaches, how form factor and operator movement shape survey outcomes, and why certain datasets align better with real-world client behavior than others. The goal isn’t perfection — it’s understanding the strengths and limits of the data we rely on.

Co-channel contention (CCC) is a common industry/practitioner term, and many Wi-Fi experts prefer it to describe what happens when two APs on the same channel try to transmit simultaneously. Listen to the rest of the story and why calling it CCC is bad for the industry.

It's no secret that designing Wi-Fi can be challenging in school environments. We'll walk through the unique client devices, applications, and designs for wireless connectivity in schools and how to design and troubleshoot for them.
-
In this session, I’ll walk through how NAC can reduce SSID sprawl, automate device policy, and improve traceability in PSK networks.
-
I'll explore the unique challenges of designing wireless networks for Operational Technology (OT) environments, such as factories and industrial plants, where reliability and low latency are paramount. Additionally, I will discuss more than just 802.11 as there is more to industrial wireless than than Wi-Fi.

What is art and how is it related to wireless communications? How can understanding the art of wireless make you a better engineer, administrator, or security professional? Find out in this presentation by Tom Carpenter.

"IEEE defined Randomized and Changing MAC Addresses to prevent networks from using MAC Addresses for identity to solve a privacy problem. WPA3-SAE prevented us from using Pre-Shared Keys as assertions of identity while solving an encryption problem.
But, we still need an identity to make informed decisions about where a device should sit in the network, and what resources it should access. Without identity, how do we define policy?
Lets discuss the current problem, future challenges, and some potential fixes. "

Item description"You just refreshed your hospital to a newer generation AP from a different vendor. Nurses are complaining of poor performance with their WoW carts that is preventing them from doing their job and are escalating to their and your leadership.
Was it the refresh? Do you risk losing time and money by rolling everything back? Or could it have been a problem that was already lurking and just so happened to coincide with a change in the system?
I'll walk you through what happened, what we found and how we found it, and ultimately how we solved the issue."

For over 25 years, Wi-Fi has been woven into the fabric of how we communicate, work, learn, and experience the world around us. In this session, David Coleman explores what lies ahead, from Wi-Fi 8 and Enhanced Broadcast Services to Wi-Fi sensing and the growing role of AI in shaping how networks are designed, operated, and experienced. As AI advances at a pace most companies can barely keep up with—and begins reshaping society in real time—wireless networking is becoming far more adaptive, intelligent, and strategically important. The real opportunity is not just better wireless, but unlocking the Art of the Possible—redefining what can be achieved as connectivity, context, and intelligence begin to converge.

How we are able to leverage a non-GPS based geolocationing method to perform 6GHz AFC for Standard Power; save on GPS component on AP and share real world examples of how well this has worked out and what learnings we can bring to the table!

Wi-Fi has evolved from autonomous APs to controllers to the cloud, but the next leap is even bigger. The Agentic Age is defined by open data, AI flexibility, and a shift of intelligence and portions of the control plane toward the edge, where decisions can happen faster and closer to the moment of need. This session explores how Wi-Fi is becoming a platform not just for connectivity, but for operational insight, automation, and real business advantage.

When the network is down, and stuff is hitting the thing, let's talk about keeping your wits about you, managing up and out, and containing the chaos. Insights from an Engineer and Director's perspective.

When users say “the Wi-Fi is broken,” where do you start? In this talk, we’ll dissect real troubleshooting stories focused on end-device issues in Wi-Fi networks. We’ll show how we framed each problem, which tools and visibility points we relied on, and how we navigated workflows to isolate root cause. This session is aimed at practitioners who want practical, repeatable approaches to diagnosing complex Wi-Fi problems across diverse client types and infrastructures.
