Traditional speed tests are designed to measure end-to-end Internet throughput, but they often blur the line between Wi-Fi performance and WAN limitations. When users experience poor connectivity, it can be difficult to determine whether the bottleneck is the wireless network, the ISP connection, or congestion somewhere on the Internet path. This session shows how Orb to Orb can isolate Wi-Fi performance by using the same testing methodology and measurement techniques as standard Orb-to-Internet testing, but replacing the remote Internet endpoint with a nearby measurement server inside the local network.
